Tsuyu (c. 1542 – aft. 1564) was a Japanese Assassin, the wife of Fujibayashi Nagato and the mother of Fujibayashi Naoe.

Biography

In 1549, she was found in an injured and starved state by Alvaro Catarribera, a Spanish Assassin who was excommunited from his brotherhood and had came to Nagasaki while following a trail of Templars. The Assassin sought to locate allies in order to combat the Templars and, having saw potential in the young girl, trained her in the ways of the Assassin.[2]

In 1560, Tsuyu, now an apprentice to Catarribera traveled to Iga to enact the mission given to them by the recently deceased Emperor Go-Nara. After performing a Leap of Faith off the mountain, later meeting the acquaintance of a young Fujibayashi Masayasu.[1]

Tsuyu went on to become an Assassin in her own right, becoming part of a brotherhood who were charged by the Emperor of Japan to safeguard and protect the three Imperial Regalia. In Iga, she met the shinobi leader Momochi Sandayu, seeking help to protect these artifacts. She became a student of Sandayu, befriending his fellow students Hattori Hanzō and Nagato. In time, Sandayu, Hanzō and Nagato followed in Tsuyu's path and joined her brotherhood.[3]
