Inoue Yonekichi (died 1585) was a Japanese shinobi who served under Nowaki, the personal ambusher of the Japanese Templar Kimura Yukari, in Awaji during the late Sengoku period.
Biography[edit | edit source]
A hunter with a habit of burning rare animals' hides, Inoue Yonekichi was a shinobi who worked under Nowaki, one of Kimura Yukari's three taishō (大将, lit. "general").[1] In 1585, after Yukari's death at Iwaya Castle,[2] Yonekichi and his fellow shinobi Ishida Shota and Nitta Koheiji found themselves reconvened at an abandoned residence on the Trail of Eshima.[1]
However, the trio were discovered by the Kakushiba ikki member and Igan kunoichi Fujibayashi Naoe, who was assisting Hattori Hanzō's ally Konatsu in killing the remaining Sanzoku Ippa operatives. Naoe then promptly assassinated Yonekichi, along with Koheiji and Shota, and then recovered the katana Finality's End from his personal effects.[1]
