So Sachihiko (died 1585) was a Japanese spy who served under Yasuhira, the spymaster of the Japanese Templar Kimura Yukari, in Awaji during the late Sengoku period.

Biography[edit | edit source]

A pretend connoissuer, So Sachihiko worked as a spy for Yasuhira, one of Kimura Yukari's three taishō (大将, lit. "general").[1] In 1585, after Yukari's demise at Iwaya Castle,[2] Sachihiko wrote a note detailing how he had been nearly killed by two of Nowaki's shinobi near Kannoji Temple and three more shinobi on the Trail of Eshima. He also accused fellow spy Ryuzoji Den of betraying their master Yasuhira, and vowed to make her pay.[1]

After agreeing to help Hattori Hanzō's ally Konatsu eliminate the last Sanzoku Ippa members on Awaji, Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke arrived at the Yuraminato Shrine and found Sachihiko playing his flute. They assassinated him and acquired his note and a spare tantō, the Secret Keeper, from his personal effects.[1]
