Udono Nagateru (鵜殿 長照) (died 1562) was a Japanese samurai of the Udono clan and a retainer under the Imagawa clan during the Sengoku period. He also happened to be Imagawa Yoshimoto's nephew.[1]

Biography[edit | edit source]

In 1561, Udono Nagateru invited one of Imagawa Ujizane's concubines Okiku to the Imagawa Mansion to discuss her role for the clan. Discussing how he and Jesuit priest Paulino Massa work to rebuild the Imagawa clan's power, he admitted his disappointment over her lack of male heirs for the clan. While she tried to apologize for her failings, he stated to her to not bother. Immediately, Okiku fell to the floor dead while he relayed that he poisoned her sake for her results and impure blood before chastizing her to stand up.[2]
