They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me The Akiyama Agent.

The Akiyama Agent (died 1582) was a Japanese samurai captain and a member of the Kurai Eikyou located in Uda Matsuyama Castle, Yamato.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Holding the rank of captain within the Akiyama clan's military, the Akiyama Agent joined the Kurai Eikyou, a group of criminals that conspired to create chaos and terrorize the public of Yamato. The captain outsourced his part by enlisting mercenaries to attack and kill citizens while disguised as soldiers, in order to damage the reputation of the Akiyama clan.[1]

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke followed a clue about a group of warriors of the Akiyama clan attacking locals at Uda Matsuyama. In a small town in northern Uda Matsuyama, they arrived to find mercenaries talking about their orders from an Akiyama captain to kill innocents. Fortunately, Naoe and Yasuke eliminated the mercenary leader and recovered a message from the captain at Uda Matsuyama Castle.[1]

Arriving at the castle, the Kakushiba ikki members encountered the captain within the Daimyo Residence of the castle. There, they assassinated the agent and recovered a letter from The Messenger and a teppō Repeating Fate from the captain's personal effects.[1]
