Endo Tomoyasu (died 1582) was a Japanese man who worked for Lord Oda Nobunaga.
Biography[edit | edit source]
In 1582, Tomoyasu knew those working for Nobunaga that could be suspectible to be bought. Providing Akechi Mitsuhide with this intel for a large profit, he was allowed to leave Honnō-ji before the attack. Before leaving, he carried sensitive information between Nobunaga and his former retainer Hori Hidemasa. Upon learning this, Hidemasa tracked Tomoyasu down near Kongōbu-ji in Kii and killed him. Taking back the documents, Hidemasa was found by his allies, Kakushiba ikki members Yasuke and Fujibayashi Naoe, who left the scene with Hidemasa to avoid any unwanted attention.[1]
