Ryuzoji Den (died 1585) was a Japanese spy who served under Yasuhira, the spymaster of the Japanese Templar Kimura Yukari, in Awaji during the late Sengoku period.

Biography[edit | edit source]

An artist who crafted works with feathers, Ryuzoji Den served as a spy for Yasuhira, one of Kimura Yukari's three taishō (大将, lit. "general").[1] In 1585, after Yukari's death at Iwaya Castle,[2] Den found herself accused of being a traitor who had killed Yasuhira, but attained "proof" that Yamanouchi Tobei was the true culprit. Meanwhile, she searched for her brother among Nowaki's remaining shinobi, hoping to leave Awaji with him.[1]

After agreeing to assist Hattori Hanzō's ally Konatsu in eliminating the remaining Sanzoku Ippa operatives, Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke searched for Yasuhira's surviving spies. While investigating Kamaguchi Village, they located Den and promptly assassinated her.[1]
