Shiotsu Shrine

Shiotsu Shrine is a Shinto shrine east of Shiotsu in Ōmi, Japan.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke rendezvous at the shrine to discuss their findings and determined that the Shinbakufu member, The Wheel were last mentioned in Shiotsu. Discussing their next steps, Naoe and Yasuke separated to investigate the town at both the inn and the offices, respectively. After discovering more evidence, they reconvened back at the shrine and determined the Wheel's location to be on Chikubushima at Hogonji Temple before leaving.[1] While there, they also found a cliff behind the shrine and surveyed the town.[2]
