Ishida Shota (died 1585) was a Japanese shinobi who served under Nowaki, the personal ambusher of the Japanese Templar Kimura Yukari, in Awaji during the late Sengoku period.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Having suffered from head lice, Ishida Shota was a shinobi who served under Nowaki, one of Kimura Yukari's three taishō (大将, lit. "general").[1] In 1585, after Yukari's demise at Iwaya Castle,[2] Shota and his fellow shinobi Inoue Yonekichi and Nitta Koheiji camped at a rundown residence on the Trail of Eshima.[1]
However, the trio were tracked down by the Kakushiba ikki member and Igan kunoichi Fujibayashi Naoe, who was aiding Hattori Hanzō's ally Konatsu in assassinating the remnants of the Sanzoku Ippa. Naoe then promptly assassinated Shota, along with Koheiji and Yonekichi, and then acquired the spare bow Night's Embrace from his personal effects.[1]
