Outer Farmlands

The Outer Farmlands was a section of pastures used for farming at Ōmizo in northwestern Ōmi, Japan.

History

In 1582, daikan Okudaira Toshizo used his position to abuse the people of Ōmizo by forcibly confiscating their resources for his own personal gain and his alliance with the Shinbakufu. The Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke soon tracked down Toshizo from their information from Lady Oichi's bodyguard Kuma. They found him at his estate on the farmlands indulging himself before they assassinated him.[1]
