Baltazar (died 1582) was a Portuguese soldier under Portuguese Templar Nuno Caro's command.
Biography
In 1582, Baltazar, along wih Caro's men, was placed on duty to guard the captive Akechi Mitsuyoshi at Kameyama Castle to ensure his sister Hosokawa Tama's compliance with Caro's demand of silver. With Mitsuyoshi as his captive, he soon took the family katana away from Mitsuyoshi and left the boy in his cell while he stationed himself at the castle's courtyard.[1]
