Fuyu was a Japanese shrine-maiden (miko) who worked at Ōmiwa Shrine in Yamato during the late Sengoku period.
Biography
In 1582, Fuyu met the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke, who were investigating mysterious happenings around the province. Believing that the kami Ōmononushi had led them there to help, Fuyu led them around Ōmiwa Shrine and asked them to pay their respects at the smaller shrines, insisting that they would find answers from the spirits.[1]
After meeting Matsunaga Kojiro at the last shrine,[1] Naoe and Yasuke learned that a secretive group called the Kurai Eikyou was working to instill chaos and instigate a civil war between the Tsutsui and Akiyama clans. After Naoe and Yasuke hunted and killed all members of the Kurai Eikyou, they returned to inform Fuyu, who thanked them and told them to head where they had met Kojiro. There, Naoe and Yasuke found and acquired the ōdachi Whisper of Muramasa.[2]
