Endo Riku (died 1582), also known as The Connoisseur, was a Japanese daikan who governed over Kanegasaki Castle, Wakasa.

Biography

Endo Riku held the position of the daikan at Kanegasaki Castle. Gluttonous and cruel, he enjoyed feasting publicly in order to shame and humiliate his subjects. He, along with other daikans, later allied with the Shinbakufu to financially support their plans in exchange for protection.[1]

In 1582, Kuma, a bodyguard to Lady Oichi, met with the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke about eliminating a group of corrupt daikans. They accepted the task and went to track down these officials. Arriving at Kanegasaki Castle, they heard Riku taunting his servants while he ate in front of them. Confronting him, Naoe and Yasuke assassinated Riku, ending his influence over the territory, and acquired the kanabō, the Barnacle Mallet, from his personal effects.[1]

Personality and traits

Okudaira Toshizo was a tall, burly man who wielded a kanabō as his main weapon.[2]

Out of all the daikans, he wore armor but after the player hits him once, then his armor is instantly destroyed.
