Patience, brothers. Soon we will reveal the secrets of Assassin's Creed: Shadows. This article has been identified as being out of date. Please update the article to reflect recent releases and then remove this template once done. |

Tanba (丹波), also spelled Tamba,[note 1] was a province of Japan comprising the territory of present-day central Kyoto and east-central Hyōgo Prefectures.[1] During the Sengoku period, it bordered Harima to the south, Yamashiro to the southeast, Wakasa to the northeast, and the Sea of Japan to the north.[2]
In the 1580s, the samurai Yasuke, a retainer of daimyō Oda Nobunaga, visited the province alongside the kunoichi Fujibayashi Naoe.[3]
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Notes[edit | edit source]
- ↑ This is the spelling used in Assassin's Creed: Shadows in accordance with the traditional version of the Hepburn romanization system which romanizes the syllabic ん ⟨n⟩ as ⟨m⟩ when preceding a bilabial consonsant (i.e. /b, p, m/). The wiki uses the modified Hepburn system that is in common and official practice today which does not perform this spelling change.
