When confronted by Naoe and Yasuke, the Kakushiba ''ikki'' members saw that Sen had genuinely changed his ways and tried to leave his past days as a pirate behind him. Ultimately, they decided to spare his life, allowing Sen to live a peaceful life in Yura where he continued to do his best helping his fellow villagers.<ref name="Pirate Alliance" />
Sen is one of the objectives on the mission [[The Pirate Alliance (memory)|The Pirate Alliance]]. After reaching him, the player can talk to him, at which point he will tell the player that he has reformed and no longer wants to be a pirate, hoping to be a good person and asking for forgiveness. The player has the choice to either forgive him or to declare that piracy is unforgivable and fight him. If playing on canon mode, there is no choice possible and Sen is always forgiven, which means that in the real timeline Sen did survive the encounter and kept helping the village.


The conversation can be bypassed even in canon mode if, instead of talking to him, the player decides to attack Sen, at which point he will become hostile and the player will be forced to kill him.

Sen was a pirate active in Sengoku period Japan. He earned a name for himself by pillaging and terrorizing the coasts of Wakasa. In 1582, Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke were tasked with eliminating all members of the Pirate Alliance, including Sen. By this time, Sen had left the Pirate Alliance and was truly remorseful, dedicating his life to the betterment of others.

At some point, his wife died under unknown circumstances, with Sen declaring that his foolishness was at fault for it. Afterwards, he decided to retire from the pirate life, retreating to the small village of Yura in northern Tamba.[1]

If Canon Mode is enabled, then the option to kill Sen is entirely removed, implying that Naoe and Yasuke canonically spared him.
