Kuki Shinpachi (died 1585) was a Japanese samurai who served as a captain under Imagawa Tomeji, the enforcer of the Japanese Templar Kimura Yukari, in Awaji during the late Sengoku period.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Kuki Shinpachi was impatient to fight with a blade, so he chose to wield a war hammer. A father and a husband, Shinpachi had grown to hate his family. Serving Tomeji, he frequented the paths across Awaji and forcibly kept the locals in line.[1]
After the Master Assassin Fujibayashi Tsuyu told her daughter Naoe and Yasuke about Shinpachi, the two Kakushiba ikki members discovered him on his patrol, assassinated him, and recovered the spare kanabō The Negotiator from his personal effects.[1]
