Takahashi Ichi-Hime was a Japanese member of the Takahashi clan who lived in Kyoto.
Biography
Daughter of Takahashi Inoshichi, Ichi-Hime and her siblings Taro, Jiro, Shiro, and Saburo were extensively trained by their father after their mother's passing, with the exception of their brother Goro. Under her father's orders, her once-respected family oppressed Kyoto and its people.[1]
By 1582, Ichi-Hime came to realize that her loyalty to her family was costing her honor. Along with Goro, she wished to leave her family and their legacy behind. However, she stayed in Kyoto out of that loyalty but remained at the Umenomiya Taisha Shrine, praying about the moment she could escape.[1]
Meanwhile, her family's crimes drew the attention of Ujimasa, a friend of former Ise clan leader Ise Sadatame, who met with Sadatame's allies, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke, about the Takahashi's grasp and terror over Kyoto.[2] At the shrine, Naoe and Yasuke confronted Ichi-Hime as she was praying and decided her fate.[1]
Personality and traits
Takahashi Ichi-Hime was a slim woman who wielded a katana as her main weapon. However, like her brother Goro, she desired not to fight and wanted to leave her family's history of torment behind her.[1]
Behind the scenes
Depending on the player's choice and recovering all of the clues, if Takahashi Inoshichi is killed first, Ichi-Hime is indefinitely spared and freed from her family's grasp. Otherwise, she may be killed or spared at the shrine. If spared, she pleaded mercy for Goro.
