The Stalker (died 1582) was a Japanese criminal and member of the Seta River Killers hired by the Japanese Templars during the late Sengoku period.

Biography

In 1582, the Stalker was part of a group of hired killers who were assigned to murder influential locals within the communities of Yamashiro, Izumi Settsu, and Ōmi. Following the orders of both the Exterminator and the Trader, she was tasked with murdering a local fisherwoman near Seta Bridge and deliver her head to the Exterminator at Koriyama Camp.[1]

Yet, the Kakushiba ikki members Yasuke and Fujibayashi Naoe learned about the killers' motions after helping the Templars' former colleague Rufino, a Portuguese translator, in stopping their kill contracts and saving the innocent locals targeted by the Templars.[1]

Naoe and Yasuke were able to track down the Stalker at Seta Bridge. There, they caught sight of her spying on her target and readying her blade. Thus, Naoe and Yasuke confronted and killed the Stalker and acquired the Exterminator's note from her personal effects.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Stalker was shown to be following orders from both her overseers, the Trader and the Exterminator, differing from her fellow hired killers.[1]
