Shigaraki Hamlet

Shigaraki Hamlet was a small settlement in eastern Ōmi, Japan. In late 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and Igan shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe visited the settlement and drew a rare sumi-e of a white tanuki waking up from a drunken state and shaking off mon before leaving.[1]
