The Kurai Eikyou (暗い影響) were a group of criminal agents active during the late Sengoku period in Yamato. The group's name translates to the "dark influence."[1]
History
By 1582, the Kurai Eikyou was formed and their motive was to instill turmoil across and panic among the innocents of Yamato, especially at their religious shrines and temples. Their chaotic actions caught the attention of miko maiden Fuyu of Omiwa Shrine. She then contacted the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke to aid the people of Yamato from these "spirits."[2]
From their investigation, Naoe and Yasuke tracked down and eliminated all the Kurai Eikyou agents, ending their influence across the province, and then reported back to Fuyu. Fuyu thanked them for their assistance and sent them back to where they met Kojiro for the first time. Going back to where they met Kojiro, they found and acquired a long katana, the Whisper of Muramasa.[1]
