Gennojo was a thief who was active during the late phase of the Sengoku period. Described as a charming man who drowns his sorrow on alcohol, he was recruited by the kunoichi Fujibayashi Naoe and samurai Yasuke into their Shinobi League during thr 1580s.[1]

Behind the scenes

Gennojo is a character in Assassin's Creed: Shadows, where he is one of the few allies that be recruited into the Shinobi League.

Japanese actor Mackenyu provides the motion capture, as well as both the English and Japanese voice for the character. His involvement was first announced on 6 February, a month prior to the game's official release.[2]
