Fuyu was a Japanese shrine-maiden (miko) who worked at Ōmiwa Shrine in the Yamato Province during the late Sengoku period.

Biography[edit | edit source]

In 1582, Fuyu met the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke, who were investigating mysterious happenings around the province. Believing that the kami Ōmononushi had led them here to help, Fuyu escorted them around Ōmiwa Shrine and asked them to pay their respects at the smaller shrines, insisting that they would find answers from the spirits.[1]

After meeting Matsunaga Kojiro at the last shrine,[1] Naoe and Yasuke learned that a secretive group called the Kurai Eikyou was working to instill chaos and instigate a civil war between the Tsutsui and Akiyama clans. After Naoe and Yasuke hunted and killed all of the Kurai Eikyou, they returned to inform Fuyu, who thanked them and told them to head where they had met Kojiro. There, Naoe and Yasuke found and acquired the ōdachi Whisper of Muramasa.[2]
