Ember (died 1582) was a Japanese rōnin and a member of the Kabukimono located in Osaka.
Biography
Part of the street gang Kabukimono, Ember was one of eight rōnin, who were attacking the communities across the provinces Izumi Settsu and Harima. However, the priest Shin'nyo of the Nishinomiya Shrine met with and enlisted the help of the Kakushiba ikki member Fujibayashi Naoe to deal with them.[1]
Death
By 1852, Ember led his group, the Firebrands, on a mission to "purify" the world with fire, as a means of his pyromaniacal tendencies. Stationed at some burned down buildings near the Temple of Osaka, the rōnin watched over their incendiary weapons and resources. However, he was soon found and assassinated by Naoe.[1]
