Tanba (丹波) was a province of Japan constituting the area of central Kyoto and east-central Hyōgo Prefectures in present-day.[1]
In the 1580s, the samurai Yasuke, a retainer of daimyō Oda Nobunaga, visited the province alongside the kunoichi Fujibayashi Naoe.[2]
