Kamiizumi Nobutsuna (上泉 信綱, c. 1508 – c. 1582) was a Japanese samurai who founded and led the Shinkage-ryū school of combat during the Sengoku period.[1]
Throughout his teaching career, he had trained many individuals including Marume Nagayoshi, Yagyū Munetoshi, Yuki no Kata, Hōzōin In'ei, Nagano Saemon, Asari Nobutane.[2]
