The Iron Hand Guild was a merchant guild that began to rival the Imai Clan during the late Sengoku period.
History[edit | edit source]
By 1582, the Iron Hand Guild, led by the anonymous Iron Hand, began exploiting the Imai name and robbing business opportunities from the Imai Clan. Using local merchants to garner his resources, the guild grew on the hopes to control all trade on silver and steel. The guild caught the attention of Imai Sōkun, who contacted the Kakushiba ikki member Fujibayashi Naoe to find and dismantle the guild.[1]
From her investigation, Naoe discovered all of the merchants' location and then determined the Iron Hand's location at Fukuchiyama Castle. She later confronted and assassinated the Iron Hand, ending his business and trade efforts.[1]
