Norimune was a Japanese kasagake master active during the 16th century.
Biography
In the early 1580s, Norimune travelled across the Kansai region of Japan establishing ten kasagake courses in hopes of teaching the art to any willing participants. One such hopeful individual was the samurai Yasuke, the former retainer of Lord Oda Nobunaga, who not only participated but won his courses. Praising Yasuke for his abilities, Norimune rewarded him with mon and several horses that he could provide.[1]
