Okinoshiroishi

Okinoshiroishi was an island on Lake Biwa in Ōmi, Japan.

History

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke aided Rufino, a Portuguese translator and an old friend of Tomiko, on stopping kill contracts he discovered while working for them. After they killed the criminals, Rufino sent Naoe and Yasuke to Okinoshiroishi after deciphering clues of a meeting between the "Architect" and the "Scholar."[1]

Naoe and Yasuke traveled to the island and climbed atop its tallest rock formation. However, they saw no one there and thus deciphered the message themselves, realizing the true location was Kashiwabara Fortress. Bereft that Rufino lied to them, they left to confront him and the "Scholar" at the fortress.[1]
