Takasago

Takasago (高砂市) is a city in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan.[1] During the Sengoku period, it was situated in the southern Kakogawa Estuary of Harima Province.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke traveled to the city and met with the merchant Hiromichi to request his help to infilitrate Miki Castle. Agreeing to help, Hiromichi tasked them to first kill one of Bessho Harumasa's lieutenants stationed at the town shrine, who was to replace him, and to secure his business. The pair did so and returned to Takasago, where they informed Hiromichi of their success. The merchant then upheld his end of their deal and told them of his plan to smuggle Naoe into the castle.[2] While in city, Naoe and Yasuke also established a kakurega for their league.[3]
