Both wars are in-game. "Shinobi Warfare" is Nobukatsu's attempt, "Fight of the Kakushiba ikki"/"The Meaning of the Blade"/"Mibuno Showdown" is Nobunaga's final push. Excluding few Echoes refs, most will be Shadows, so I don't think we need to link it every time

Oda clan troops attacking Iga in 1581

The Tenshō Iga War (1579–1581) comprised the two invasions of Iga by Oda Nobunaga during the Sengoku period.[1][2] First initiated on 6 October 1579[3][4] as a poorly-enacted campaign under Nobunaga's second son Nobukatsu,[5] his army fell into an ambush set by Igan shinobi and was forced to retreat.[6] Emboldened by their success, the Igans rallied allies. Furious that his son had foolishly left the job half-done, allowing it to grow to become a larger problem, Nobunaga resolved to crush the resistance and personally took command of the army.[7] He met with much greater success when he returned on 30 September 1581 with his new retainer Yasuke,[3] razing down settlements across the province and all but destroying the Iga.[3][8] In a twist of fate, one of the surviving ninja, Fujibayashi Naoe,[9] later joined forces with Yasuke to pursue the common goal of hunting their mutual enemy, the Shinbakufu.[10]
