Kasuga-taisha is a Shinto shrine in northern Nara Heartland in Yamato, Japan.
History
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke arrived at the shrine after recovering Akiyama Ayako's invitation for the peace talks with Tsutsui Junkei at Kōfuku-ji. Meeting with Ayako, they discussed how there was no impediment on the talks now and how they plan to see her at the temple, which she replied that she would not miss it for anything.[1] While at the shrine, Naoe and Yasuke paid their respects at four smaller shrines and established a kakurega nearby.[2]
