Ezio, my friend! How may I be of service?

This article is in desperate need of a revamp. Please improve it in any way necessary in order for it to achieve a higher standard of quality in accordance with our Manual of Style.

"How can you judge the helpless? They needed help, so I helped."
―Ibuki.[src]

Ibuki (いぶき) was a solitary rōnin who was active in Sengoku period Japan. They were recruited into the Kakushiba ikki by Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke, becoming one of their allies.[1]

Personality and traits

Although Ibuki came from a clan of obedient samurai, they possessed a unique moral compass. Unlike their peers, Ibuki was rebellious and highly valued their freedom, disliking the stern rules of the samurai class. They were also adept at combat and greatly enjoyed nature, art, and poetry.[2]

Behind the scenes

Ibuki is a character in the 2025 video game Assassin's Creed: Shadows, serving as one of Naoe and Yasuke's recruits and a possible love interest for the latter, though only if Canon Mode is disabled in the game's settings. Ibuki is also notably the first non-binary character featured in an Assassin's Creed game.
