Fujibayashi Nagato no Kami (died 1581) was an Iga ikki jōnin and father of Fujibayashi Naoe. One of Sengoku period's most iconic shinobi, Nagato trained Naoe to be his equal in battle, despite a promise to keep her safe.[1] He lost his life during the Second Tenshō Iga War led by Oda Nobunaga.[2]
Behind the scenes
Fujibayashi Nagato no Kami was a historical figure and character appearing in the 2024 video game Assassin's Creed: Shadows. Historically, Nagato was not known to have fathered a daughter, his only recorded son was Fujibayashi Yasumasa. However, for the time period it was not usual that daughter's were simply not recorded in the Koseki or family register.
