Daikan Mansion

Daikan Mansion was a mansion that belonged to the daikan of the province in southern Ōmi, Japan.

History

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and samurai Yasuke traveled to the mansion after helping the local farmers in Hachiman. Entering into the guarded mansion, he heard the corrupt daikan force a woman to give up her kids for money in Wakasa. When Yasuke intervened, he slew down the official and recovered information about the Shinbakufu reconvening in Shiotsu. Leaving, he left to meet with Kuma at his home to discuss his findings.[1]

While traveling within Azuchi, Yasuke and his fellow Kakushiba ikki member Fujibayashi Naoe met with Father Luís Fróis, a Jesuit priest and Yasuke's old friend, whom they helped recover his pages about Japan after he lost them. One of the pages flew away onto the Daikan Mansion's grounds. Entering the mansion again, they recovered the page and then left the premise to find the other pages.[2]
