'Konatsu was a Japanese woman who served as an informant for Hattori Hanzo, a member of the Kakushiba ikki.
Biography[edit | edit source]
A native of Awaji Island, Konatsu entered into Hanzo's employment and became his most trusted confidants for many years.[1] Around 1582, she aided in Hanzo's search for Fujibayashi Tsuyu, a fellow of member of the Kakushiba ikki and Hanzo's former love interest who disappeared years ago. After around three years, Konatsu found clues relating to a puppet show in Izumi Settsu and sent out a message to Tsuyu's daughter Naoe, meeting her in the ikki's hideout. There, Konatsu informed Naoe of her findings and told her that Hanzo was following another lead of his own.[2]
