Tada was a village situated in The Silver Lands in Tamba, Japan.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and samurai Yasuke arrived on the outskirts of the town and spoke to one of their spies about the "Silver Queen" being near the village's silver mines. Entering the village alone, he found a prominent woman talking to Portuguese soldiers about the silver output from the mines. After telling them that their overseers must pull back their abuse, the Silver Queen, Hosokawa Tama, met with Yasuke while the soldiers ran off. Upon meeting, Tama told Yasuke that it was not safe and led him towards her private residence in the village.[1]
Hosting the samurai, Tama gave him a cup of tea and then asked him why he sought her. Yasuke admitted that he searched for Nuno Caro and desired to end him. Shocked, Tama questioned his power but Yasuke told her that he assumed she knew who he was. However, Yasuke began to lose consciousness while Tama admitted that she invited him under the orders of Caro. Entering the room, the Portuguese Master Templar walked in and thanked Tama for her assistance.[1]
Almost recalling Yasuke, Caro told Tama that he and his shinobi ally were responsible for her father Akechi Mitsuhide's death. Seeing an opportunity, Tama offered to kill him for her father and convinced Caro that she will continue with the silver shipments. Pleased, Caro gave her his pistol and left the samurai in her hands while Yasuke finally fell unconscious.[1] At a some point, Yasuke and Naoe also established a kakurega in the village.[2]
