Shucho (died 1582) was a Japanese criminal and a member of a child-abduction ring located in Osaka.

Biography

A child kidnapper, Shucho, alongside Richo and Mucho, were instructed by their leader Kacho to steal children from wealthy businesspeople in order to gain control of their trade. Shucho was tasked to kidnap a child and bring them to their hideout, however the child escaped from her grasp and hid away from her.[1]

In 1582, the kunoichi Fujibayashi Naoe found a note during a game of collecting paper butterflies tasked by a local woman. The note detailed Shucho's failure of losing the child in the Fishermen's District, and Naoe traveled there to search for them. At the district, Naoe found the child and told her to run, and then she quickly assassinated Shucho. Naoe obtained a tantō, the Ink Spiller, from Shucho's personal effects.[1]

Personality and traits

Shucho wielded dual tantōs as her main weapons.[2]
