Kuroda Yoshitaka (黒田 孝高; 1546 – 1604), also known as Kuroda Kanbei ((黒田 官兵衛), was a Japanese daimyō during the late Sengoku period. He served under Oda Nobunaga until his assassination during the Honnō-ji incident, after which point Yoshitaka served under Nobunaga's retainer Toyotomi Hideyoshi. In 1582, Kanbei met the Japanese Assassin Fujibayashi Naoe and the samurai Yasuke during a rengakai (連歌会) hosted at his castle in Himeji.[1]
