Kuki Shinpachi (died 1585) was a Japanese samurai and a captain who served under the Japanese Templar Kimura Yukari's enforcer Imagawa Tomeji in Awaji during the late Sengoku period.

Biography

In 1585, Kuki Shinpachi was impatient to fight with a blade thus he chose to wield a war hammer. A father and a husband, Shinpachi had grown to hate his family. Serving Tomeji, he frequented the paths across Awaji and forcibly kept the locals in line. When the Master Assassin Fujibayashi Tsuyu told her daughter Naoe and Yasuke about Shinpachi, the two Kakushiba ikki members discovered him on his patrol, assassinated him, and recovered the spare kanabō The Negotiator from his personal effects.[1]
