The Katsuragi Agent (died 1582) was a Japanese gokenin master and a member of the Kurai Eikyou located in Katsuragi, Yamato.
Biography
Living as Katsuragi's gokenin master, the Katsuragi Agent joined the Kurai Eikyou, a group of criminals that sowed discord and caused chaos among the locals of Yamato. Alongside his fellow conspirators, he took part in instilling turmoil around his community in Katsuragi and terrorizing religious temples and shrines.[1]
In 1582, one of his students met with the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke and discussed how his sensei had started to meet with new and dishonorable cohorts and disregard his code. Following their clues, Naoe and Yasuke traveled to Gokenin Manor, found the agent patrolling, and assassinated him. From his personal effects, they uncovered a letter between him and a daimyō's merchant advisor.[1]
