Akechi Mitsuhide (明智 光秀; 10 March 1528 – 2 July 1582) was a general under the daimyō Oda Nobunaga during the Sengoku period of Japan.[1] In June 1582, Mitsuhide rebelled against his master and attacked him at Honnō-ji temple. During the rebellion, the Assassin Yamauchi Taka, retrieved Nobunaga's Sword of Eden after he was killed.[2]
