Assassin's Creed: Shadows – Tales of Iga Chapter 27 is the twenty-sixth chapter of the manga Assassin's Creed: Shadows – Tales of Iga, a prequel to Assassin's Creed: Shadows. The manga, written and illustrated by Reguje, was released on 16 July 2026.

Summary

Iga, 1562

Alone, Fujibayashi Masayasu practices his kuji-kiri until he senses someone incoming. There, Hattori Hanzō arrives and greets Masayasu. Instantly, Masayasu rushes to him and embraces him tightly, much to Hanzō's surprise. Looking at each other, they sense that each of them has gone through trials before moving towards the house. Inside, Hanzō sees Tsuyu in traditional robes while Konan welcomes Hanzō back. Talking together, Hanzō and Tsuyu discuss the events in Mikawa while she congratulates him on his work. While there, Hanzō becomes flustered but Tsuyu playfully taunts him before reminding them of their work.

Few weeks later, Tsuyu trains alongside Hanzō and Masayasu while Momochi Sandayu and Alvaro Catarribera look from afar. They watch their students spar while discussing the Templars' loss in Mikawa and Paulino Massa's death. However, Alvaro mentions that the roots may still lurk within the country. He then notes that he will be leaving Japan soon and plans to return to Europe. He sees that Tsuyu is more than capable to train the next students and that the trio are now examples of their work. He recounts the time of how he killed a young girl, how he sees Tsuyu symbolizing that his work here is done, and needs to return to his old Brotherhood.

Later, Hanzō readies himself as he proclaims that he does not want to live in Iga. Picking up a bouquet of flowers, he moves forward to find Tsuyu and reveal his true feelings. Elsewhere, Tsuyu and Masayasu sit together, looking at the Moon, with her head resting on his shoulder.
