Plot synopsis[edit | edit source]
Edward Kenway infiltrates Sun's floating gambling hall, making his way past the guards and reaching a viewpoint atop a ship's mast. After surveying the area with his Eagle Vision, Edward discards his cloak and hat and leaps into the water below, deciding to infiltrate the main ship, where he suspects both Sun and Shimazu Saito are located.
Meanwhile, Saito is informed by one of her ninja that Edward—in reality a disguised John Young—has been spotted playing the casino games. Sun forbids Saito from interfering, saying that he wants no bloodshed in his establishment, and instead orders her to focus on escorting his guests who will be arriving soon. Deducing that Edward would never allow himself to be spotted, Saito suspects that the Assassin is up to something and decides to lead the search for him herself.
After dispatching several of Sun's guards stationed around the ships, Edward locates Sun in the casino, but Saito is nowhere to be found. He then spots her ninja escorting three cloaked figures arriving via ship and, deducing they are Sun's guests, decides to steal back Hendrik's sea log while Sun is distracted. However, he is ambushed by Saito and her ninja, who throw shurikens at him. After Saito declares that she will recover the cipher to the sea log in Edward's possession, the Assassin and Templar prepare to clash.
