Plot synopsis
Shimazu Sei, Noa Kim, Yuki, and Nathan Zhang are running through an alley in Singapore, chased by several Sigma Team agents, who gun down the Doom Eagle members accompanying the group. One of the agents remarks that they have orders to capture Noa alive, but he is swiftly shot and killed by Yuki using her concealed rifle. Another agent dodges the gunfire and attempts to stun Sei with a taser. However, the doctor perceives his moves in slow motion thanks to the Bleeding Effect and dodges the attack.
After Sei incapacitates the Sigma Team member with his own taser, more agents arrive and flank the group. Nathan fires his pistol at them before Noa, under the Bleeding Effect's control, swiftly defeats the agents. Nathan remarks that Noa and Sei's ancestors must be looking out for them, before instructing the group to follow his lead. The remaining Sigma Team members survey the city from above using helicopters, but they are unable to locate their targets and call off the pursuit.
After using a seaplane to fly to a cargo ship, the Doom Eagle members aboard put Noa on a stretcher and take him away to receive medical attention for his worsening Bleeding Effect. Meanwhile, Nathan talks to Sei and informs her that the ship will bring them to Myanmar using a secret smuggling route to reduce the risk of being attacked again. Sei decides to return to the Animus to resume exploring Shimazu Saito's genetic memories, convinced that they will lead her to the Piece of Eden they need to save Noa's life.
In January 1725, in the Caribbean, Adéwalé uses the Jackdaw to incapacitate an East India Company ship before boarding the enemy vessel and assassinating its captain, a British Templar. With his dying breath, the Templar mocks Adéwalé for his previous service under Edward Kenway and reveals that the document acquired by the Assassins months earlier was a trap, intended to lure Edward to his doom. Concerned for his friend's safety, Adéwalé orders his crew to contact the British Assassins immediately and warn them about the plot against Edward's life.
Two months later, the Fenghuang has arrived in Singapore, where the crew takes time to recover from their defeat in the Sultanate of Sulu. Saito and Rupiya discuss the state of the crew: Yun Pyeong-Gyu is hard at work in his lab; John Young, still mourning Xialun Qing's death, has gone to the pub to try and drink his sorrows away; and Edward, still suffering from the crescent amulet's lingering effects, is being looked after by a local doctor.
With their companions in no condition to help, Saito and Rupiya take it upon themselves to resupply and repair the Fenghuang while waiting for Edward to recover. Suddenly, Saito hears a gunshot in the distance and decides to investigate. Across town, Edward is surprised by an unseen woman, who fires a pistol at him. The woman then tells Edward that he is a hard man to track down, leaving the Assassin speechless.

Behind the scenes
This episode marks the first time the passage of time is acknowledged in the webtoon, with an Animus interface stating that the Fenghuang arrived in Singapore in March 1725. This would mean that all of the story's events up until this point took place in the span of several weeks, as Edward arrived in Macau in February 1725. However, given the long distances the characters travel, as well as several time skips which imply a longer passage of time, it is highly unlikely that only a month or two at most passed since the story's beginning. It is not excluded that the Animus interface may be erroneous, as there is precedent of the Animus showing the incorrect date of an event in the series.
Singapore's appearance in 1725 is anachronistic, as the city is shown having European architecture and a port, something it would not possess until a century later when it became a British colony. At this point in time, only a small settlement is confirmed to have existed on the island. Additionally, Singapore would not have been referred to by its current name in 1725, as it was better known as Singapura or Temasek at the time.
