After disabling the Dutch East India Company's ship, the pirate crew get ready to board it and steal its cargo. However, they spot Edward Kenway and his crew approaching, just as Edward devises a plan to defeat the pirates and take their ship for themselves. He orders Rupiya and his men to get close and attack the pirates, prompting the latter to abandon the Dutch East India Company ship and chase after them. They lure the pirates to a rock, where Edward boards a rowboat alongside several crew members, leaving John Young in charge.
