Plot synopsis[edit | edit source]
Zheng, the admiral previously recruited by Madam Lee, sings a sea shanty as her fleet approaches Sun's floating gambling hall. The admiral declares to her crew that, by the time they are done, Macau will be firmly within Lee's grasp.
Aboard Sun's ship, Xiao Han, Liu Qing, and Xue Yan are fighting through the last of Sun's guards in order to catch up to the fleeing businessman and recover Hendrik's sea log. As Xiao Han closes in on Sun, Edward Kenway arrives and attacks Liu Qing. He and Xue Yan fight Edward to prevent him from interrupting Xiao Han, who uses a rope dart to stop Sun dead in his tracks. Left at his nephew's mercy, Sun tries to plead for his life, reminding Xiao Han that they are family and claiming that their ancestral glory and riches will be restored once he is in control of Macau. However, his pleas fall on deaf hears, as Xiao Han assassinates Sun with his Hidden Blade, to prevent his uncle from bringing any more shame upon himself.
After Xiao Han retrieves the sea log, it is quickly stolen by Edward. Xiao Han tries to reason with his fellow Assassin one final time, telling him to stop interfering with the Chinese Brotherhood's mission, but Edward refuses to allow them to use Angkor's treasure for their personal gain. Edward is then surrounded by Liu Qing and Xue Yan as Xiao Han declares him to be an enemy of the Chinese Brotherhood.
Elsewhere, Shimazu Saito is fighting Fuma Sukuna and his ninja. Sukuna remarks that Saito's skills have improved since he had trained her and expresses remorse at having to kill her for betraying the Shimazu clan. However, Saito points out that Sukuna and his clanmates have never seen her as their equal and declares that she will eliminate them to avenge her friends and take over the clan. Before Saito and Sukuna can fight, a firework flies over the ship, signaling the latter to retreat. Edward, Xiao Han, Saito, and John Young all watch as the ship is bombarded with cannon fire by Zheng and begins to sink.
