Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 28 is the twenty-eighth episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and SHYATAN and with art by Tabii, was released on 31 October 2023.
Plot synopsis
At the Dutch East India Company's request, Edward Kenway and John Young secretly infiltrate the pirates' camp on the Paracel Islands while the former pirate Rupiya distracts the captain by holding Zhang as his "hostage." With Rupiya keeping the captain busy, Edward and John stowaway on a rowboat and carry explosives into the camp. Setting the bombs, Edward takes out many pirate guards while Rupiya keeps the other pirates busy drinking alcohol. Initially impressed on how he fakes his sobriety, Rupiya is nearly caught by the captain. Fortunately, the pirate captain gives drinks to Rupiya for his crew. Assured, Rupiya runs back to the ship and waits Edward's signal.
When John and Edward finish setting up the explosives, Edward finds the keys for the slaves' bondage and sets them and Zhang free. However, the commotion proves too loud when Edward is forced to shoot a guard. Alerting the others, Edward, John, and the saved captives run from the pirates' gunfire. The explosives immediately destroy the compound while Edward and John make their escape. Watching his compound collapse in flames, the pirate captain cursed at his foes.
