Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 17 is the seventeenth episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and SHYATAN and with art by Tabii, was released on 15 August 2023.
Plot Summary
After killing Alan Jacob's men, Edward Kenway discovers "devil's powder" as the Far East Company's new product for Macau's merchants. Stealing a sample, he travels back to the Mandarin's House and shows the powder to Madam Lee, who was interested in taking the product for herself. However, Edward forbids the product from being sold as it proved too harmful and destructive for the public. Instead, he plans to reveal the company's ties to the powder by having a massive spectacle in front of the public. Although reluctant, Madam Lee temporarily agreed with Edward's demand to refrain from selling the powder.
Later, Edward meets with John Young and starts to plan to out the Far East Company despite some misgivings about Madam Lee's promise. In the night, Edward spills rumor to the powder addicts of the drugs being aboard a Far East ship. Meanwhile, the addicts distract the guards while Edward swims to and climbs aboard the ship. Suddenly, John fires a shot at the port with the guards responding to enemy fire. There, Edward sneaks inside the ship and finds more packages of the powder. While John makes his getaway and the guards scrambled, Edward starts dropping crates of powder at the dock and declares the Far East's culpability of trading the powder aloud.
At her house, Madam Lee waits in her bed until one of her men informs her about the spectacle at the docks. She instructs her man to salvage any legitimate product they can collect.
