Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 13 is the thirteenth episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and SHYATAN and with art by Tabii, was released on 18 July 2023.
Plot summary
Edward Kenway and John Young return to Zhang's village with two chests of treasure and other goods the former has received from Madam Lee. As the villagers enjoy the gifts, Edward lets John know that they are not working for Lee, but are simply her allies. He also tells John that he would like him to accompany him on his upcoming expedition to Angkor, much to the latter's excitement.
Despite being told by Lee to wait and lay low for the time being, Edward reveals that he has a plan to acquire more information. Having used part of the treasure to purchase fine clothes, he has Zhang and his fellow laborers put them on so that they would appear to be of higher status and, thus, be able to secure work with major trading companies across Macau. Edward hopes that if the laborers manage to get close enough with the company higher-ups, then they will overhear valuable tidbits of information and report them back to him.
In the present, Shimazu Sei decides to let Noa Kim know more about his Assassin ancestors as promised, and uses the Animus to send him information about the most notorious of them, Ezio Auditore. One of the scientists remarks that Noa has achieved the most stable synchronization rates since Subject 17, before the Animus loads the next sequence of Edward's memories.
After being informed by Zhang that higher-ups from three of Madam Lee's rival trading companies will be holding a meeting, Edward goes to Macau to meet with him. Zhang points Edward to one of the attendees, Alan Jacob of the Far East Company, and the Assassin proceeds to follow his target across the city until he reaches the meeting place: a cathedral. After tossing a pouch full of coins to create a commotion and distract the guards outside, Edward sneaks into the cathedral and observes the other two attendees: Jan van Aert of the Dutch East India Company and Master Sun of the Hualien Trading Company. He then decides to wait and see which of his three targets is working for the Templars.
