Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 57 is the fifty-seventh episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and NOHT and with art by Tabii, was released on 21 May 2024.

Plot Synopsis

Doctor Shimazu Sei and her medical team attempt to aid Noa Kim after he experienced an Animus malfunction while reliving a memory that featured a Piece of Eden. Meanwhile, Noa's consciousness begins to relive Edward Kenway's early moments with his first wife Caroline Scott-Kenway. Noa learns that Edward regrets how his desire to be a privateer cost him more than he wished when Noa sees Edward at Caroline's grave. Noa soon finds himself in a white room surrounded by past versions of Edward. Edward reminds him to keep his wits or else he may lose himself within the machine. Fortunately, Noa regains consciousness and finds Dr. Sei looking over him.

Dr. Sei explains that he experienced a data reflux and the consequences are more extreme that may lead to a comatose state or even death. Despite Dr. Sei's warnings, Noa insists that he must see this through, no matter the consequences. However, Dr. Sei explains that he is extremely valuable due to his high synchronization rate and how that Abstergo Industries has not had anyone like him since Subject 17 and his accomplice. Noa understand the doctor's caution but nevertheless returns into Animus.

Edward and Shimazu Saito run back to the Fenghuang, where John Young, Xialun Qing, and Yun Pyeong-Gyu await. Once aboard, John readies the ship to leave while the Dutch merchant Jan van Aert starts to depart as well. However, a small fleet of Spanish ships pursues them, only to have van Aert offer his help for Kenway's escape. Before they part, van Aert tells him to reconvene at an island kingdom south of the Philippines called the Sultanate of Sulu before leading the Spanish ships away. After escaping, Edward tells John about the events in Manila, where a monk wore a crescent amulet and used it to start a riot. However, he reveals that a native faction came, killed the monk, and took the amulet before he and Saito could recover it. When John asks what their plan is, Edward says their destination remains on Cebu. Elsewhere, Rajah showcases the amulet to his people and promises to take back his homeland.
